INTO THE FUTURE

I've arrived in 2211. I look around and I am amazed at the scene.

I saw tall pointed buildings, flying cars, new game consoles and happy people peering through shop windows. My heart is pounding harder faster but then it struck me. I only had 15 seconds until the
time-machines portal closed.

FUTURE PLANT
When I saw the future plant I was so amazed I was willing to pull it out of the ground. The first time I tried to take it I got an electric shock. I tried again and thousands of prickles shot out. My last attempt was gun powder. I put it around the soil and ran away. I came back in 5 minutes and finaly it came out.I wondered how there wasn't even a scratch on it..........

I've arrived in 2211. I look around and I am amazed at the scene.I see flying cars with aliens in them. Tall buildings up to 8'000 story high. Kids were having fun. I feel like it is a dream. But the bad thing was that you had to get petrol every 10 minutes and the buildings were leaning over.

I'd arrived in 2211. I looked around and I was amazed at the scene. All I could see was a paradise with waterparks, flying cars and air tunnel transportation. Every one there was rich and happy. The buildings were awesome and cool. They were all fluro colours and bright. Kids were happy playing on their airboards. I felt excited about being there.

CAR OF THE FUTURE
My car of the future has a V8 motor in it with nitros and a custom wastegate. My car is bright green with flame on the side of it. My car has bucket seats and drifting steering wheel.

I've arrived in 2211. I look around and I am amazed by the scene. It's got circle apartments with sideways elevators who would of thought , not me. Ice cream towers with marshmallows on the side , it's like heaven at work on a hot day it's to die for they are so YUMMY! There are also chocolate fountains that make your mouth water just at the sight of them and robot hydroslides that lift you up to the top. Flying boats that you can catch land fish . But I smell this horrible odour like rotten fish and dumps. It's not the most pleasant thing. I feel happy and excited but sad at the same time.

My futuristic animal is a Wagra it's a cross between a dragon, a rabbit and a worm. It has green wings , a bright yellow body , slightly green slightly blue ears , silvery grey buck teeth , pinky eyes and bright blue spikes. It also breathes fire. Wagras like to eat glue and dog biscuits . They usualy live underground but they sometimes live in houses.

2 weeks ago I moved to Motueka from Wellington with my mum. My dad and my sister stayed in Wellington.

My heart felt amazing and my eyes nearly burst out with tears. I hear the sound of hard work and and the noise of happiness. There was big shiny tall tower that I've never seen in my whole life. Floating houses and cars. This is not the future this is paradise. But when I turn the to the other side and there it was in front of me were filled with rubbish in the sea and dead fish were everywhere. Oh no!

My animal from the future is called birsnil. Birdsnil has a colorful body and has 5 eyes. My future birsnil lives in the treetops and sometimes it sleeps on the ground. I'd arrived in 2211. I look around and I am amazed at the scene.

I get out of my times machine and see all of this unbelievable

stuff. I see kids with jet packs going up and then falling down.

meters off the ground. I hear noises like people laughing and having

Sam Fox has gone to his grandparents' house for the school holidays. Sam and his grandparents are going out to see their animals on their horses when Sam sees cattle rustlers trying to take their stud bull.

They take a shortcut through the bush and they find the bull in a truck at the side of the road.

They get the bull back and then the bush fire comes and Sam rides the bull and finds a lake to rest in.

Then a fire fighting helicopter comes to try to put out the bush fire. The pilot takes water from the lake Sam is in and dumps it on the fire. When the helicopter come to get more water from the lake Sam jumps on to the bucket.

Why I chose this book: Well I have just finished this book and I really liked it!

We did timed races. There were 11 tasks. First the big log, horseshoes, wall, balance on a log, go through a tunnel, swing around on a spinner, then a rock climbing task, the monkey bars, walk the rollers and Aayush was the best. Josh did OK though it was challenging. It was scary on the wall.

My favourite thing about the camp was caving, as I hadn't been underground before.

Yeah finally my group gets to do bivouacs with Mr T. First we had to collect branches, sticks and leaves. MrT already had the bamboo for us to make the frame. Secondly we had to make the frame and tie it all together so it would hold together. Thirdly we had to pile the leaves, branches and sticks on. Lastly we had to layer ground with comfy leaves when we were finished MrT took a photo of us in our bivouac and gave us our score. It was 9 and a half.

Im so excited. Today were going caving!I didnt wake up early enough to have breakfast though. Afterwards we got in cars and left. After a bit we found the cave! We had to walk through some bush. Then I saw a big black hole with a stream running through it. We walked on a cliff type part. We had to walk through some water and man was it cold. There was some tree blockage and the branches were slippery and wobbly. There was a big drop so Mr.T helped us. Next some more blockage then a big slippery log. Then nice grippy rocky flat place and lots and lots of glow worms. After that we got out of the cave and had some food then left.

Wow what an awesome time on Camp. Karen and I are doing a topic about watersliding. Each day if we wanted to we went watersliding. Thursday we were allowed to do triples and doubles. Me, Tyler and Nina did the pyramid it was so fun but me and Nina got red knees it really hurt. But it wasn't fear on Tyler because she didn't get a go sitting on top of us she really wanted a go but Nina said no. So me and Tyler went with Sherly but she chickened out. So Tyler ended up sitting on top of me and it didn't hurt at all. She was light but after I got very sore knees. They were bright red and really sore the next day. It was awesome but it hurt. My favourite thing about watersliding was triples.

On the first sunny day on camp we went watersliding . The awesome waterslide was really long. First time i went down it was really creepy. After our first turn Mr .T let us go doubles it was so awesome at the time and on Thursday Mr .T let us do triples. I went with Kylee and Sarah. It was fun.. After the watersliding I got red marks on my legs. Well it was an awesome day. I never will forget that cool day.

On the 2nd day we went to the river. I was going swimming but it was cold but I was swimming any way. We were jumping off the side. It was fun but very cold when my head came under the water. After that I asked MrT if he wanted me to go and get some rocks from the deepest place in the river. It was awesome and cold!
Amazing!! On the 16th of March we went to the river. I thought it was warm. I swam across the river 7 times. It was really exciting. We got some tubes I swam under the people in the tubes. It was awesome and want to do it again!

CASTLES

My topic is castles. I'd like to do it because we have been learning about castles and people who lived in them. This is the ruins of an old- medieval castle in Wales.

THE TOWER OF LONDON
This is the white tower of London. William the Conqueror, the person who built this castle made it to take captive prisoners and to torture all sorts of people.It is now a famous tourist attraction in London to show the history of the castle and it's use.

DANGER OF THE CASTLES

There were all sorts of dangers that could destroy a castle. One was a catapult which could destroy a castle easily. Another thing was the battle rams which would be pushed against the draw bridge to smash open the drawbridge.

PEOPLE OF THE MIDDLE AGES

Some people that lived in the Middle Ages were: peasants, lords, ladies, princes and princesses, kings, queens and many others.

This is a battle ready sword. Some medieval swords were five feet or more. A 2 handed sword could cut though mail and bone.

This is soldier is on the back of a horse holding a spear and with armour on so he doesn't get killed or wounded by the other people who are attacking him.

THE LONG BOW.

The English longbow, also called the Welsh longbow, was a powerful type of medieval longbow (a tall bow for archery) about 6 ft (1.83 m) long used by the English and Welsh, both for hunting and as a weapon in medieval warfare. English use of longbows was effective against the French during the Hundred Years' War, particularly at the start of the war in the battles of Crecy (1346) and Poitiers (1356), and most famously at the Battle of Agincourt. A longbow must be long enough to allow its user to draw the string to a point on the face or body, and the length therefore varies with the user.

Hi my name is Sammie. I am 11 years old and I go to Parklands School. I have two pets one cat, one dog my dogs name is Arli and my cats name is Minty. I live with my mum and my two sisters . My sisters go to Motueka High School. My favourite food would have to be lollies and chocolate and I like homemade burgers and salads that I make. At school my favourite subjects are Art, Sport and Free time and I really love playing with my friends there names are Amelia,Hayley,Aurora and Teigan they are my best freinds . The things I like to do out of school are drawing, swimming, bike riding, going to the beach, going to freinds houses i also like doing things with my family. In winter my favourite sport is playing Netball I play it in the weekend . In the future I would really like to be a teacher or look after animals . On Wednesday the 3rd of November the Kapa Haka Festival was on. Most of my school were in it. But I only went over to watch. It was a great day. There were some great performances. At the end of the day the Whanau from Parklands performed. They were awesome they did'nt really do a haka so Riwaka boys stood up and did it for them. It was a great day.

The fun run requires a lot of preparation and hard training but it is all worth while, for the ice block and prizes. On the day we all dress up in colourful costumes in our house colours. A few weeks after the fun run we all get our special prizes, depending on how well we did on fundraising. The prizes range from walkie talkies to remote control cars and many other things. The winners go on to race at Rabbit Island.

Before the school had the space expo I wasn't very good at this space stuff. I knew the sun was in space and not to look at it and there (used to be) nine planets. At the space expo, parents came to have a look at our work. Now I know a lot. space is a whole new world out there!!BY KELSEY

Once I am older I want to train dolphins and live on a farm with two beautiful dogs. Different dolpins live in different places. eg. dusky dolphins live in the south island.
